Probus, 276-282. Antoninianus (Bronze, 24 mm, 3.43 g, 12 h), Rome, 281. IMP PROB[VS P F AVG] Radiate and cuirassed bust of Probus to right. Rev. ADVENTVS AVG / R(thunderbolt)Z Probus on horseback to left, raising his right hand in salute and holding long scepter in his left; to left on ground, bound captive seated to left, head right. Cohen 36. RIC 155. A dramatic mint error. Heavily double struck and with minor traces of corrosion and light deposits, otherwise, very fine.
